By accessing and using HomeTask Reminder ("the App"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on HomeTask Reminder for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

• Modify or copy the materials
• Use the materials for any commercial purpose or for any public display
• Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on the App
• Remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials
• Transfer the materials to another person or "mirror" the materials on any other server
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of the App

3. Disclaimer

The materials on HomeTask Reminder are provided on an 'as is' basis. HomeTask Reminder makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.

4. Limitations

In no event shall HomeTask Reminder or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on HomeTask Reminder, even if HomeTask Reminder or an authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage.

The materials appearing on HomeTask Reminder could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. HomeTask Reminder does not warrant that any of the materials on the App are accurate, complete, or current. HomeTask Reminder may make changes to the materials contained on the App at any time without notice.

HomeTask Reminder has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its website and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by HomeTask Reminder of the site. Use of any such linked website is at the user's own risk.

7. Modifications

HomeTask Reminder may revise these terms of service for the App at any time without notice. By using this App, you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these terms of service.

8. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which HomeTask Reminder operates, and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that location.

9. User Accounts

When you create an account on HomeTask Reminder, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and password. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

10. Household Management

HomeTask Reminder is designed for household members to collaborate on tasks and bills. By using the App, you agree to:

• Use the App only for lawful purposes
• Not harass, threaten, or abuse other household members
• Provide accurate information about tasks and bills
• Respect the privacy of other household members

11. Subscription and Payments

HomeTask Reminder offers both free and premium subscription plans. By subscribing to a premium plan, you agree to pay the stated subscription fee. Subscriptions will automatically renew unless cancelled. You can cancel your subscription at any time through the App settings.

12. Email Communications & Consent

HomeTask may send you emails for important notifications, account updates, bill reminders, task notifications, and promotional content. By using our service, you consent to receive these communications.

12.1 Types of Emails We Send

• Account notifications (sign-up, password reset, security alerts)
• Bill reminders and payment notifications
• Task assignments and completion reminders
• Household member invitations and updates
• Service updates and feature announcements
• Promotional offers and newsletters (optional)

12.2 Opt-Out & Consent Management

You have full control over the emails you receive. You can manage your email preferences in two ways:

• Through the app: Settings → Notifications → Email Preferences
• Via email: Click the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any email from us

12.3 Revoking Consent

You can revoke your consent to receive emails at any time by:

• Updating your notification preferences in the app settings
• Clicking the unsubscribe link in any email
• Contacting us at Support@splitduty.com with your request

12.4 Essential Communications

Please note that even if you opt out of promotional emails, we will continue to send you essential communications related to your account security, service changes, and legal obligations. These cannot be disabled.

12.5 Privacy of Email Communications

All email communications are subject to our Privacy Policy. We will never share your email address with third parties without your explicit consent, except as required by law.
